Mallory Marez is an LCSW and College Assistant Professor in the School of Social Work at New Mexico State University. She has years of social work experience providing services to children, youth and families In New Mexico. While with CYFD, Mallory participated in the research and development of the FSTR Initiative which fills an essential gap between Investigations and In-Home Services. Mallory also has experience working in the field of Medical Social Work and Rehabilitative Social Work. Ms. Nunez has served as an adjunct instructor in the School of Social Work at Western New Mexico University, and most recently as a full-time college Assistant Professor and Practicum Coordinator at NMSU. Ms. Marez has a passion for helping students succeed and this is in line with her goals and current status as a doctoral student at University of Kentucky. As part of her Doctoral Capstone, Mallory is researching the decision-making frameworks for practicum coordinators working with students with a criminal background. Ms. Marez is a Portales, NM native and her passions include forwarding the advancement of the profession of Social Work and developing resources for her local area.
