Graduate Research Assistant

Jaida Ellis is currently a graduate student at the School of Social Work at NC State, where she also serve as a graduate research assistant. She also works as the MSW Intern at Multicultural Student Affairs. She received her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Elizabeth City State University in 2020. During this time, she also conducted research funded by the Department of Homeland Security and shortly after graduation utilized her research skills to co-write for a communications textbook. As a first-year traditional student in the MSW program, Jaida hopes to continue growing as a researcher and hone her skills as a social justice advocate as she builds community wherever she goes.
