Maney Darby is a Spring 2025 Master of Social Work Candidate at North Carolina State University. As a native of West Point, MS, and an alumna of Jackson State University, she has contributed to projects at the Michigan Institute for Clinical and Health Research and the Moore Undergraduate Research Apprentice Program at the University of North Carolina. With experience providing services in community mental health, she is dedicated to bridging research and practice to improve service delivery. Maney’s other interests include adolescent health and closing health equity gaps affecting marginalized communities of color. As a Graduate Research Assistant at NC State University, Maney has supported the NC Workforce Coalition by developing presentations to support workforce development initiatives. Her work aims to reflect a commitment to advocacy and equity in social work.
