Georgianna is a Licensed Master Social Worker and a systems thinker with a passion for community and policy work as it relates to preventative and public health, and a commitment to anti-racist anti-oppressive practices. In particular they are interested in empowering community change agents, environmental justice and climate change, substance misuse prevention, resource equity, chronic disease/food allergies, sexuality, food and hunger advocacy, and political social work. As an educator and researcher Georgianna has a diverse background in qualitative and quantitative research on topics such as group work for environmental justice, ecosocial work curriculum, Autism Spectrum Disorders, medication trials, quality of life, sexuality, cognition, and perception. They also have experience as an Adjunct Professor at the Masters in Social Work level teaching a diversity of courses and a strong skillset in course development and pedagogy. Finally, Georgianna has worked with organizations to advance equity and diversity, and assist with effective functioning, social media outreach, policy development, volunteer coordination, and editing/writing content for publication.
Georgianna holds a BS in Neuroscience, with a concentration in evolutionary studies, Masters in Social Welfare, with a concentration in Health Care/Public Health, and is working on a PhD in Social Work with a focus on the intersection of environmental social work and anti-racism.
