Clinical Assistant Professor; Interim Associate Dean of Undergraduate Education

Amy Levine is a Clinical Assistant Professor at the UNC-CH School of Social Work, where she serves as the Interim Associate Dean of Undergraduate Education. While at the School of Social Work, Amy has taught practice courses in the MSW curriculum, worked as a practicum education faculty, and has served as the Interim Director of Practicum Education and Assistant Director of Practicum Education. Amy is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and has a practice background in both public and private child welfare services as well as mental health assessment and intervention. She has worked as a psychotherapist and clinical supervisor.
Amy’s practice and research interests include trauma-informed models of care, child and adolescent mental health, the intersection of child welfare and behavioral health services, and professional resilience and well-being. Amy also does research and publication in the area of practicum education pedagogy and practices that advance social justice in social work practicum education.
