Dr. Rand has an Ed.D., Elementary/Early Childhood Education (Specialization in Literacy Development), Rutgers University, M.S.W., Direct Practice -- Emphasis in Mental Health, Rutgers University, M.Ed., Elementary/Early Childhood Education, Rutgers University, and B.A., Spanish/Music, Bucknell University. Her specialty areas include classroom management and learning literacy. As a professor of education and social work, Dr. Muriel Rand has 25 years of experience in outcomes-based assessment systems, project evaluation and research practices. She has successfully managed large federal and state grants and lead effective accreditation cycles using data-driven insights to make strategic decisions for program improvement. Dr. Rand has familiarity with campus data systems to ensure seamless integration and utilization of data for enhancing program outcomes. She is an effective collaborator with campus offices and key personnel and has consistently fostered strong partnerships with Institutional Research. She is currently managing a Title V supporting recruitment and retention of diverse social work students.
