Dr. Erica Campbell received her PhD from the University of Missouri-Columbia, where she also received her Masters in Social Work and Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. Dr. Erica Campbell is a critical scholar and researcher with an interest and commitment to social and racial justice. Her research uses an intersectional approach to examine the social, racial, economic and health disparities among Black, Indigenous, and other people of color (BIPOC). Dr. Campbell’s research focuses on positioning an inclusive racial, ethnic, gender, and cultural framework vital for education, research, and practice regarding the delivery of services among BIPOC. Most of Dr. Campbell’s research work centers on mental health, intimate partner violence, domestic violence, health disparities and simulation-based education. She has over fifteen years of experience using quantitative and qualitative methodological research designs and has received external funding to support research in the areas of HIV/AIDS, mental health, environmental health, and intimate partner violence.
