Ms. Camille Dysart is a Licensed Social Worker who began her correctional mental health career in 2024. She provides mental health services to incarcerated people living with severe and persistent mental health conditions within a residential treatment program, operated by the Colorado Department of Corrections. During the pursuit of her degree, she served as a research assistant focusing on moral injury within the correctional healthcare workforce. She has an Masters in Social Work from University of Colorado, Colorado Springs. Her current work emphasizes supporting the dignity and humanity of incarcerated individuals through systems-aware, trauma-responsive care. As a member of her facility’s Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging (DEI-B) committee, she contributes to institutional efforts to better serve aging individuals, people with disabilities, and transgender individuals in custody. Cami is committed to bridging direct clinical care with systems-level advocacy and reimagining carceral mental health through liberatory and inclusive approaches.
