Dr. Fantus is an assistant professor in the School of Social Work at the University of Texas at Arlington. She holds a PhD in Social Work and Bioethics from the University of Toronto and is a certified healthcare ethics consultant. Dr. Fantus’ primary area of study is comprises understanding and identifying ethical decision-making in social work practice and the integration of moral distress and moral injury into social work education and healthcare practice. She has disseminated moral distress workshops across regional, national, and international health systems, professional organizations, and conferences.
