Currently pursuing a Master of Social Work at Arizona State University, Marissa combines her academic foundation with extensive training in domestic violence counseling, trauma-informed care, and mental health services.
Their work emphasizes supporting marginalized communities through evidence-based practices like Motivational Interviewing and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. Marissa has facilitated domestic violence offender treatment groups, provided survey support for extended foster care programs, and co-facilitated substance abuse groups for diverse communities.
