Markanda Baugh, MSW, CCHW, MATS, CRP, is a recent MSW graduate from Ball State University. Markanda earned a BSW from Indiana State University and has been the Hepatitis C Community Health Worker at the Damien Center in Indianapolis since 2022. They completed practicums at Union Hospital and Ryves Youth Center. Markanda’s practice experience includes Ireland Home Based Services as a home-based case manager, Franklin Central High School, Department of Workforce Development, and Indianapolis Comprehensive Treatment Center before going to the Damien Center. Markanda is passionate about harm reduction with marginalized communities and has presented original research at the International Conference on Health and Hepatitis in Substance Users (INHSU). Markanda would like to thank all of those who supported her dreams to be here today!
