Jessica Toft is an Associate Professor at the University of Minnesota and serves as the Vice President of the Social Welfare History Group. She has taught social welfare and social work history in MSW, DSW, and PhD courses for 20 years. She has several historical publications in Social Service Review and Social Work. She chairs the Effects of Neoliberalism on Social Work Practice Project at the University of Minnesota which studies the working conditions of social workers in the state of Minnesota. She is the prior President of the Board of the Minnesota Chapter of the National Association of Social Workers.
