Dr. Hyong Yeom is a Professor in the Department of Social Work at James Madison University. She obtained her Ph.D. in Social Policy and her M.A. in Women’s Studies and Social Policy at Brandeis University, and her M.S.W. from the University of Minnesota, Minneapolis, with a concentration in mental health. Dr. Yeom has clinical experience in mental health and intellectual disabilities. She has conducted various research projects concerning cost-effectiveness, mental health, substance use interventions, low-income women, children and their families, disabilities, immigrants/refugees and international social work.
