Kevin Durant earned his MSW from Bridgewater State University through the Massachusetts Child Welfare Institute MSW Fellowship. Currently, Kevin is pursuing a Doctorate of Social Work degree at the University of Kentucky with a concentration in administrative leadership. He is currently employed at a psychiatric hospital in Massachusetts working on an inpatient unit. In his DSW program, he has explored interests in child welfare practice with disabled parents (stemming from his previous work in this area of practice), Medicaid Home and Community Based Waivers for supporting deinstitutionalization, trauma-informed approaches as a mechanism to increase practice, and accessibility. For his capstone work he is examining TIA implementation and sustainability, honing in on implementation science approaches to pragmatically generate knowledge to support increased rigor in the development of evidence-based practices to better support proving practice wisdom rooted approaches.
