Hector Chaidez Ruacho, LCSW, is a doctoral student at the University of Texas at Austin. He is a licensed clinical social worker with training in various evidence-based practices, including trauma-specific and family-based interventions. His clinical experience has primarily been with Spanish-speaking Latino immigrant families.
Hector's research focuses on improving access to and utilization of mental health services among the Latino immigrant population. He aims to enhance the quality of mental health care for this group by culturally adapting existing interventions and developing new ones that incorporate Latino healing practices. Additionally, he seeks to provide necessary resources to support both the families and the providers who serve them.
