Daniel Gibbs is an assistant professor at the University of Georgia School of Social Work, where he conducts research on child welfare and child mental health systems. He uses quantitative, mixed, and system dynamics methods to advance innovative data science solutions, high-quality interprofessional collaboration, and effective judicial procedures that advance well-being for youth with complex needs. Before arriving at UGA, Daniel practiced as an attorney representing the interests of children involved in the child welfare system, engaged in policy advocacy regarding children and families, and participated in data-driven permanency interventions for youth at risk of aging out of foster care.
