John Halloran is an Associate Professor of Social Work at Lewis University, and the Co-Program Coordinator of the bachelors of social work program at St. Augustine College at Lewis University. His research interests include complex adaptive systems; the intersection of law and social work in child welfare systems; family theory; child maltreatment law; race and poverty in child welfare; administrative and street-level policy implementation; and dynamics in child maltreatment courts and agencies. He received a PhD from the University of Chicago School of Social Services Administration in 2018, and a JD from Loyola University Chicago School of Law in 2005.
