Simon Mwima, PhD Candidate, is a social and behavioral health researcher specializing in HIV prevention, implementation science, and global health disparities. His research focuses on the equitable adoption and sustainability of PrEP interventions among marginalized youth in Uganda. Simon employs participatory research approaches and implementation science frameworks to co-create, implement, and evaluate evidence-based strategies for HIV prevention. He is also a dedicated educator, integrating culturally responsive teaching into social work and public health curricula. His work aims to bridge the gap between policy and practice.
