Jennie Pless, LMSW, MEd is a doctoral candidate at the University of Georgia School of Social Work, and a domestic violence shelter advocate at Gateway Domestic Violence Center. Her research and outreach work center around reducing barriers to help-seeking and increasing access to equitable services for LGBTQ+ survivors of intimate partner violence. She has also done work in developing trauma-informed and LGBTQ+-affirming practice interventions and trauma-informed pedagogies in higher education.
