Eugenia L. Weiss, PhD, PsyD, MSW/LCSW, MA is a bilingual/bicultural (English/Spanish) scholar/practitioner/educator with interests in the areas of promoting mental health and well-being in vulnerable populations such as Latinx, military veterans, and their families, women, and communities of color. Dr. Weiss has over 20 years of experience as a mental health provider, specializing in trauma-informed care as a licensed clinical social worker and as a licensed clinical psychologist in private, public, and nonprofit settings with underserved communities. She has also worked in higher education since 2005, preparing professional social workers, more recently at the University of Nevada, Reno, School of Social Work, where she serves as Associate Professor and Associate Dean. Dr. Weiss is passionate about leadership in higher education and in health and human services. She is the co-author of a 2024 book titled "Leadership with Impact: Preparing Health and Human Service Practitioners in the Age of Innovation and Diversity" (2nd ed.).
