Dr. Laura S. Rodriguez is a research and evaluation analyst for Multnomah County’s Preschool and Early Learning Division. Prior to working at Multnomah County, Dr. Rodriguez had a long career in the field of social work, working alongside families of children with intellectual and developmental disabilities, and adults with various disabilities. She has a rich background in social work and extensive experience both as a front-line worker and at the program and systems level. Dr. Rodriguez is well-versed in addressing complex social issues through innovative research and evaluation. Her work primarily focuses on how social and political identities create unique experiences of discrimination and privilege with U.S. systems. Her aim is to foster a deeper understanding of diverse experiences and find ways to change internal systems through shifting paradigms and centering the voices from the margins.
