Clinical Assistant Professor
University of Maryland-Baltimore
I have managed the BHWET (BHWISE Lifespan) program in integrated behavioral health workforce development for the SSW for the past ten years. Work on this program includes developing and facilitating monthly seminars for selected fellows in evidence-based practices as well as mentoring fellows in their final year of graduate work and as they launch careers in behavioral health. My teaching experience includes a semester course on Intimate Partner Violence (IPV) and a one credit course in Interprofessional Healthcare Delivery. Additionally, I co-developed and coordinated a one-credit interprofessional course on IPV across UMB’s professional schools, and an interprofessional course with Law and Public Health faculty on Community and Gun Violence Prevention.
I have over 20 years of experience providing direct clinical service in the fields of intimate partner violence and women’s health as a licensed clinical social worker. For almost ten years, I was a clinical field instructor for MSW students attending the University of Maryland School of Social Work and was committed to training and mentoring graduate level social workers during their experiential field internships. I am also a certified clinical supervisor, able to provide clinical supervision to MSW graduates working toward advanced licensure.
