Dr. Gail-Ann Guy is a distinguished scholar, educator, and social work practitioner with over two decades of experience in public health and social work administration. A dedicated advocate for social justice, she specializes in leadership development, trauma-informed care, gender-based violence policy, and mental health advocacy. Her work extends across the Caribbean, the United States, and Africa, where she has contributed to policy reforms, facilitated training workshops, and empowered communities through education and activism.
Currently an Assistant Professor of Social Work Practice, Dr. Guy is deeply invested in student advocacy and leadership development, ensuring the next generation of social workers are equipped with the skills to enact systemic change. She has overseen field practice education and led initiatives aimed at improving student retention, faculty relations, and programmatic integrity within social work education.
Dr. Guy is the founder of the Cry RAPE campaign (Cry, Report, Advocate, Protect, Educate), a movement aimed at addressing gender-based violence through awareness, policy reform, and survivor advocacy.
