Carole Carpot is the Executive Director of the Canadian Association for Social Work Education – l’Association canadienne pour la formation en travail social (CASWE-ACFTS) which is a national association of academic institutions offering social work education in Canada and the accreditation body for BSW and MSW programs. The Association promotes excellence in social work education through various activities and through its commitment to a social justice lens.
Carole started her professional life being an educator in her native France and transitioned to front line social work later on. She is a registered social worker and has been a field instructor for years; she still teaches occasionally. Carole is passionate about organizational development and anchors her work in relationality and reciprocity with a commitment to anti-oppressive practice. Her areas of interest revolve around decolonial anti racism, feminist practice and disability rights
