Christie Mason, Ph.D., LCSW, RPT-S, NMT Level II is a Clinical Associate Professor at Loyola University Chicago School of Social Work, where she has been a full-time faculty member since 2012. Christie also has more than 25 years of clinical experience working with clients across the lifespan, specializing in play therapy and developmental trauma. Christie teaches course in human behavior and the social environment and practice, including Practice with Children, Practice with Adolescents, Arts Based and Experiential Approaches to Social Work, and Neurodevelopment and Trauma. Christie was the first to adapt and deliver the training for the Neurosequential Model of Therapeutics in a university setting, and has published research on students' experience of learning and applying this model for working with clients who have experienced developmental trauma. Christie is also a registered play therapy supervisor and has served on the boards of the Illinois Association for Play Therapy and Theraplay(SM).
