Candidate for Master of Social Work (c/o 2026)

Annalise is enrolled in the Master of Social Work Program at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where she is concentrating in community, management, and policy practice. She holds a bachelor's degree from Elon University. Annalise also recieved a Master of Theological Studies and a Certificate in Prison Studies from Duke Divinity School where her thesis developed a disability-carceral hermeneutic and argued for its practical implications. Previously, she lived and worked in an intentional-interdependent community centered around accessibility for adults with disabilities. Currently, Annalise serves on the board of L'arche North Carolina, a nonprofit whose mission is to cultivates inclusive communities where people across the spectrum of intellectual and developmental disability identities live and flourish together. Her practicum placement this academic year is with Disability Rights North Carolina, where she is working primarily on the Education Rights and Criminal Legal teams. When she graduates Annalise hopes to begin a career of advancing Disability Rights and Disability Justice.
