Trinette Boone Langley is an experienced social work educator and administrator with a passion for student success, equity, and workforce development. She currently serves as the Director of Undergraduate Programs and BSW Program Director at North Carolina State University’s School of Social Work. With over two decades of experience in social work education and practice, she has held leadership roles at Barton College and Shaw University, focusing on curriculum development, field education, and diversity and inclusion initiatives.
Trinette’s professional background includes extensive experience in child welfare, school social work, and community-based services, equipping her with a well-rounded perspective on social work practice. She is actively involved in national social work organizations, including the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE) and the Association of Baccalaureate Social Work Program Directors (BPD). A William C. Friday Fellow, Trinette is dedicated to leadership, mentoring, and fostering inclusive learning environments.
Her commitment to student engagement is reflected in her advocacy for appreciative advising and her efforts to expand opportunities for social work students. Her love for practicum education and preparing students for the workforce is astonishing. She has presented at national conferences on inclusive excellence and academic advising strategies for undergraduate social work students. Through her leadership, she continues to strengthen undergraduate social work education by preparing students to become compassionate and action-driven professionals.
