Lisa Wobbe-Veit has dedicated over two and a half decades to promoting wellness and resiliency among youth and their families, particularly those impacted by trauma. Her dedication to supporting trauma-exposed populations has led her to serve in diverse capacities, including Medical Social Worker, Outpatient Therapist, School Social Worker, Behavioral Specialist, and School-Based Consultant. A Parkland resident, she serves as the Broward County Public Schools Recovery Consultant, offering ongoing support to the school community and families profoundly affected by the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School tragedy.
Wobbe-Veit is a Professor of Social Work Practicum Education at the USC Suzanne Dworak-Peck School of Social Work. As the Assistant Practicum Director for the school’s Virtual Academic Center, she manages master’s candidates and oversees the community-based internship experience. A USC faculty member since 2011, she has played a vital role in establishing practicum procedures and course materials, including co-developing a 12-week trauma-responsive School Social Work Training Program. In addition to her administrative duties, Wobbe-Veit has taught extensively across the practicum curriculum. She also contributes as a Curriculum Developer and Trainer for the Center for Safe and Resilient Schools and Workplaces. She previously served as a social work faculty member at the University of Central Florida for four years.
