Professor Campbell currently serves as the BSW Practicum Education Coordinator & Child Welfare Education Collaborative Coordinator in the School of Social Work at North Carolina State University. She is also a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with a background in Child Welfare. Professor Campbell has spent over seventeen years advocating for the well-being of children and families impacted by factors such as poverty, systemic racism, lack of access to quality education and healthcare, and exposure to trauma and violence. She also owns a private practice where she provides clinical services, further enriching her understanding of the challenges faced by individuals and families. Nationally, Professor Campbell is also actively engaged with the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE), the accrediting body for Social Work Education Programs, and currently serves on the Council on the Role and Status of Women in Social Work Education. As a true empowerment grounded, equity focused Leader and Clinician, Professor Campbell believes in the power of collaboration and the spirit of community in creating a safer future. She is a member of the newly formed Social Work Coalition on North Carolina Workforce Development where she is helping to generate ideas that will lead to increasing and expanding the social work workforce. Finally, she is passionate about working with social workers, policymakers, and communities to make a real difference in the lives of those impacted by the child welfare system and committed to solving problems from a culturally responsive, inclusive lens.
