Tracy Templin is the Vice Provost for Academic Programs and Accreditation. Tracy began her career teaching middle school in Baltimore, Maryland. As a result of this experience, she went on to study social and economic development within the context of social justice in order to gain a deeper understanding of the social, economic, and political factors contributing to the communities and educational system in urban communities. Prior to working in higher education, Tracy served in various leadership roles at Chicago Public Schools, where she led data analysis, strategic planning, and program management in several departments.
She holds a Master of Arts in Teaching from Johns Hopkins University and Master of Social Work from Washington University in St. Louis, and a Bachelor of Arts from DePaul University, where she majored in sociology and English. She is currently pursuing her PhD in Social Work at the University of Illinois - Chicago.
