Michael Clements is PhD student in the Social Welfare Program at the CUNY Graduate Center. Michael holds a BA in Sociology and American Studies from Brandeis University and a MS in Education from Syracuse University. Michael has managed and led human service and education organizations for 30 years. He has mentored and coached educators, human service staff, social workers and students. Currently, Michael is an Adjunct Lecturer at the Hunter College Silberman School of Social Work, Trainer Curriculum Developer for the Homeless Services Training Resource System, and the Coordinator of the New York City Community Trust (NYCT) Child Welfare Fellowship Project also at the Silberman School of Social Work. As the Coordinator of the NYCT Child Welfare Fellowship, he mentors 20 BSW and MSW students who address antiracist and anti-oppressive practices in the child welfare system.
