Sarah I. Pilgrim Ph.D., M.S.W. received her Bachelors in Social Work from Washburn University in 2002, her Masters of Social Welfare from the University of Kansas in 2005 and her Ph.D. in Social Welfare from the University of Kansas in 2012. Sarah has been teaching at the post-secondary and graduate levels in Social Work schools and programs since 2009. Sarah has extensive experience in the field of Child Welfare, more specifically, working with older foster youth to improve their overall health and wellbeing through empowerment, education, and effective communication. Sarah is currently an Assistant Professor at Chamberlain University in the MSW Program. Sarah dedicates her research and scholarship to researching Social Determinants of Health, Health Policy, and Interdisciplinary studies.
