S M Foysol Ahmed is a doctoral student and a research assistant at the College of Social Work at the University of Kentucky. Foysol is an experienced international social worker and researcher, holding a Master of Social Work degree from the University of Toledo and a bachelor’s degree in health economics from the University of Dhaka (Bangladesh). With over six years of expertise in macro-level social work, Foysol has developed comprehensive skills in project management, counseling, and research across the USA and Bangladesh. His work spans diverse fields, including community mental health issues, human trafficking prevention, and labor rights advocacy. Foysol’s research interests focus on climate and environmental justice, gerontology, forced migration, international social work, social work education, and intersectionality. As a doctoral student at the University of Kentucky College of Social Work, his global perspective and cross-disciplinary insights drive his passion for addressing pressing social justice issues internationally.
