Dr. Sucilsky is the Associate Director and Associate Professor of Practice in the DSW program at Simmons University. She is a licensed clinical social worker and a member of the American Board of Clinical Social Workers with 20 years of experience in nonprofit leadership, administration, and direct clinical care. She earned her PhD in Social Welfare from Stony Brook University and has extensive expertise in substance use and mental health treatment, program development, policy implementation, and clinical supervision.
A dedicated advocate in the fight against the opioid crisis, Dr. Sucilsky’s research focuses on unregulated recovery housing and the development of innovative addiction treatment approaches. She is a certified Opioid Overdose Prevention Trainer and provides education and harm reduction resources to communities in need.
Dr. Sucilsky also serves as the Executive Director of Long Island Community Connections, a grassroots nonprofit dedicated to revitalizing its community by creating a supportive space for development projects to get the conceptual and technical support they need to move from idea to reality.
