Interviews of parents sought to understand the needs of their youth and young adult children with intellectual and developmental disabilities pertaining to sexual and dating health. Parents identified several ways their children may obtain the sexual and dating knowledge that they deserve through formal and informal education.

Attendees will identify the benefits of dating for youth with I/DD from the perspective of parents who were also providers to additional youths with disabilities.
Attendees will understand what topics that parents feel should be included in informal and formal sexual and dating health education to youth with I/DD.
Attendees will learn how sexual and dating health education may be formatted for youth with I/DD in order to promote acceptability and impact.
