Social work students face multiple stressors that impact their mental health and academic performance. Doctoral student co-researchers explored strategies for reimagining social work educational spaces to integrate Universal Design for Learning (UDL) into course-based strategies, policies, and resources to support student mental health to promote disability justice.

Understand the mental health challenges experienced by social work students.
Gain insights into pedagogical strategies that promote positive mental health functioning for PhD students.
Raise awareness on integrating mental health support in higher education, with UDL being integral to social and disability justice by addressing the intersectional needs of social work students.
