In this poster presentation I will present findings from a research study that integrated disability justice as a teaching tool to support undergraduate social workers to think critically about mutual aid and community care post the 2024 election results. Recommendations and implications for undergraduate social work courses will be discussed.

Participants will be able to evaluate the gaps and limitations in applying disability justice as a tool for teaching undergraduate social work students the importance of mutual aid and community care in political participation.
Participants will be to identify key disability justice principles and solutions to apply to their own courses.
Participants will be able to think critically of how to support students’ educational needs through a disability justice framework, supported by intersectionality and anti-oppressive social work.
