Together: Interprofessional Collaboration in Disability Social Work Education

This workshop equips social work educators and practitioners with strategies to enhance interprofessional collaboration (IPC) in disability-inclusive settings. By integrating professional experiences with current literature, participants will explore best practices, address common challenges, and develop actionable plans to foster collaborative, person-centered care.

Learning Objectives:

At the end of this session, attendees should be able to:
  1. Upon completion, participants will be able to analyze their role in preparing social work students to understand how interprofessional collaboration enhances service delivery for individuals with disabilities.
  2. Upon completion, participants will be able to implement effective strategies for integrating interprofessional collaboration into curricula, emphasizing the capabilities and voices of individuals with disabilities.
  3. Upon completion, participants will be able to develop strategies to equip students with the skills necessary for effective interprofessional collaboration in disability-inclusive settings.
