Toxic mold exposure is a hidden epidemic that disproportionately impacts vulnerable populations and contributes to the increased rate of disability in America. Despite its biological and socioeconomic effects, social work remains absent from the growing discourse led by experts in medicine, public health, and building science.

Upon completion, the participant will be able to recognize the health and socioeconomic disparities experienced by those with Chronic Inflammatory Response Syndrome (CIRS).
Upon completion, the participant will be able to describe the neuropsychological impacts of toxic indoor molds.
Upon completion, the participant will be able to identify how social workers can address indoor environmental injustices on the clinical and macro levels.
