The 2022 EPAS has challenged schools to intentionally incorporate ADEI into their curriculums. We have updated our Process Recording templates to include a section regarding reflections on diversity. We will share important conversations regarding self-awareness, power, and positionality in clinical practice have come up as a result of this tool.

At the end of this session, attendees should be able to:

Upon completion, participants will walk away with a concrete tool for incorporating ADEI content into reflective supervisory practice.
Using case examples, this presentation will demonstrate common challenges faced by social work students when attempting to reflect on their positionality while at practicum.
Upon completion, participants will reflect on ways to hold difficult conversations with students, supervisors, and liaisons. Special consideration will be given to schools providing support in a challenging ADEI climate.
