Religious/spiritual coping can provide meaning and support well-being among individuals living with disability. This presentation explores how practicum students experience client religious/spiritual coping across various practicum settings. Additionally, practicum supervisor responses will be discussed alongside implications for supervisors and students.

Participants will be able to identify ways that individuals engage in religious and/or spiritual coping to address mental or physical disability. Participants will also be able to describe the benefits and challenges of religious and/or spiritual coping.
Participants will be able to describe client religious and/or spiritual coping mechanisms as reported by practicum students. Participants will be able to describe supervisor responses that helped students engage clients with religious and/or spiritual coping.
Participants will be able to identify literature-based tools practicum students can use to engage individuals with disabilities who engage in religious and/or spiritual based coping.
