Upon completion, the participant will be able to describe the role of social workers in empowering individuals with disabilities in reproductive decision-making, focusing on social work ethical considerations and professional roles, disability justice, and client-centered interventions.
Upon completion, the participant will be able to apply the theory of planned behavior to reproductive health decisions by engaging with clients to understand how environmental factors, societal norms, and perceived control, outcomes, and views of others impact individuals with disabilities and reproductive outcomes.
Upon completion, the participant will be able to identify and address barriers to reproductive autonomy for individuals with disabilities, including stigma, healthcare access, and logistical challenges, as well as other barriers identified by the theory of planned behavior, while also celebrating individual strengths and goals.
