Double Jepordy and Disability: Analyzing Age & Race through a Disability Justice Lens will explore the intersectionality of racial hegemony and agism on variying ability in aging African American adults. Pathways to justice and joy social workers can take through an Afrofuturist lens will be discussed.

Define and describe the combined effects of racism and ageism, double jeopardy, on the varying abilities of aging Black adults.
Demonstrate the ways social policy has upheld double jeopardy throughout the life course of aging adults.
Define Afrofuturism and explore the ways social workers can use this framework to advance disability justice.
