This poster will outline a university-community partnership where social work students and community volunteers deliver free tax preparation and assessment services to enhance the economic well-being for low-income individuals and families.

At the end of this session, attendees should be able to:
1. Describe the steps, tasks, and processes of designing and operating a community-based Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program.
2. Understand and appreciate the importance of the EITC as a mechanism to alleviate poverty for low-income workers, individuals and their families.
3. Learn how to engage social work students in the delivery of VITA services as well as other services related to financial well-being.
