Social work faculty often report challenges in supporting and accommodating graduate students with disabilities. This workshop offers a dynamic discussion on the need for disability awareness, universal instructional design processes, and unique work being done at a large university offered by administrators and faculty to build this comprehension.

At the end of this session, attendees should be able to:

Upon completion, the participant will be able to define core concepts to universal learning design approaches and apply ideas to support faculty from an administrative lens.
Upon completion, the participant will be able to identify two action-oriented methods to strengthen macro internships addressing accessibility and accommodation in a higher education setting.
Upon completion, the participant will be able to recognize and apply a strength-based and solution-focused approach to partnering with other student-facing offices and the faculty community to improve services to students with disabilities.
