Moral injury remains a pervasive challenge affecting populations social workers serve, yet United States social work academia lacks specific attention to this topic. This e-poster presentation draws more attention to the concept of moral injury within social work education in the United States, throughout clinical practice and policy work.

Upon completion, the participant will be able to define what moral injury is and how it relates to the social work field and education, within academic settings and in terms of clinical practice and policy recommendations.
Upon completion, the participant will be able to demonstrate the importance and relevance of moral injury in social work practice as it relates to various populations, with a particular focus on the importance of global social work.
Upon completion, the participant will be able to identify five practical action steps to incorporate education about moral injury into social work academia, while understanding why moral injury should be added explicitly into social work education, curricula, and training.
