Youth with disabilities are disproportionately present among those that experience homelessness. The Youth Homelessness Demonstration Program (YHDP) is a federal initiative to support communities in ending youth homelessness in collaboration with youth with lived experience. This presentation investigates how youth participation is represented in grantee community plans.
Learning Objectives:
At the end of this session, attendees should be able to:
Participants will learn about YHDP processes, and their mandate of youth participation through youth action boards
Participants will learn about variation in youth participation across YHDP community plans
Participants will identify how youth with disabilities have (or have not) been clearly included within the YHDP CCP
