Grief and loss experiences present a growing need for educators. Researchers facilitated nine qualitative interviews with preschool educators. They generated themes involving knowledge, awareness, resistance, and vulnerability using thematic analysis. Underscoring the relational care framework, implications for responding to grief, and developing caring cultures within the educational context are discussed.
